Princeton Downs Men's Squash, 9-0

PRINCETON, N.J. – In a battle of Ivy League unbeatens at Jadwin Squash Courts, the No. 4 ranked University of Pennsylvania men’s squash team lost to No. 2 Princeton (5-0, 3-0 Ivy), 9-0, Wednesday evening. Graham Bassett and Christopher Thompson were the only Quakers to muster single-game victories.

Bassett came very close to forcing a fifth game and had Penn’s (7-2, 3-1 Ivy) best chance of winning. The senior almost pulled out Game 4 versus David Canner which went to 10-8. Bassett also came very close in Game 3, losing 9-7.

Lee Rosen and Mark Froot each played well in their third games losing by identical, 9-6 scores.

The Quakers will have plenty of time to regroup until their next match. Penn does not play again until Saturday, Feb. 10 when they host No. 2 Harvard at 1 p.m. The Red and Blue close out dual meet play the following day against No. 7 Dartmouth at 11 a.m. Both matches are at Ringe Courts.
