PHILADELPHIA - The Ivy League has announced its weekly award winners in women's soccer, and University of Pennsylvania freshman forward Juliana Provini was named co-Ivy League Rookie of the Week along with Princeton's Mikaela Symanovich.
Provini earned her honor after scoring the only goal in a pair of 1-0 wins last week on Rhodes Field. The first came Monday in a non-conference win over Loyola (Md.), while the second came Friday in an Ivy League victory over Columbia. The Quakers also played on Sunday, falling to non-conference foe Navy 2-1.
Provini has five points on the season, with an assist to go with her two goals. The Quakers (5-4-2, 0-1-2 Ivy League) are back in action this Saturday, when they travel to Dartmouth to face the Big Green in a match that will kick off at 7 p.m.
