Quakers Have Strong Showing at Constable Invitational

Princeton, N.J. - Two members of the University of Pennsylvania women's squash team placed in the top 15 of the main draw at the Constable Invitational at Princeton over the weekend. Sophomore Paula Pearson finished in seventh place while fellow sophomore Radhika Ahuwalia finished 13th.

In the main draw, Pearson fell to third-ranked Catherine McLeod, 5, 6, 5 while Ahluwalia fell to top-ranked Michelle Quibell, 0, 1, 1. In the 5.5 draw, sophomore Caitlin Russell advanced to the finals, eventually falling to top-seeded Lauren Doline, 5, 1, 0. Along the way to the final, Russell defeated both the second and third seeds in the tournament, Fernanda Rocha and Siobhan Knight. In the 4.5 draw, freshman Chloe Wynne advanced to the semi-finals, eventually falling to Rebecca Shingleton, 5, 5, 6.

The Quakers saw strong performances from all its players throughout the tournament. The Red and Blue return to action on Jan. 26, when they head back to Princeton to take on the Tigers at 5 p.m.
