FLUSHING MEADOWS, N.Y. The University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team was victorious in the first day of the ECAC Invitational. The Quakers defeated Binghamton 6-1 on Friday. Penn swept the doubles and won five out of the six singles matches.
Jason Pinsky, Mikhail Bekker, Jonathan Boym, Joseph Lok and Jimmy Fairbanks all won their singles matches. In doubles, Pinksy and Lok, Bekker and Boym and Fox and O’Gara took Binghamton in the victory.
Penn takes on Ivy League foe Columbia today. The 13 team tournament runs through Monday.
