This Saturday, May 16th, Penn Women's Lacrosse will collide with Duke, as the 4-seed Quakers and 5-seed Blue Devils meet in an NCAA Championship quarterfinal.
Nearly a year ago, back on Friday, May 23rd, 2008, these programs played in the second of two NCAA Championship semi-final games at Towson University. The Quakers were seeking to advance to the title tilt for the first time in the team's existence, after exiting in the Final Four round the year before.
Sixty minutes of regulation play were not enough to determine the winner of this contest, which concluded in dramatic fashion. The memorable moments from this match-up can be re-lived in the latest installment of 'Red and Blue Rewind,' a Penn Sports Network video-on-demand series profiling notable performances in the history of Penn Athletics.
