Relay Teams Finish Strong for Women's Track at Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - Penn's 1,600 sprint medley team placed second, while the 4x800 relay squad placedthird overall to lead the Quakers at the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina this weekend.

The women's 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams each finished seventh, respectively, with times of 47.66 and 1:41.48. The 4x1,500 relay squad notched a fifth-place finish with a time of 19:06.20.

Charity Payne notched a seventh-place finish in the women's shot put with a toss of 13.77 meters, while Shanni Boston finished 18th at 12.76 meters. Jerrie Kumalah (11.35 meters) finished 11th in the triple jump, while Camille Richard (11.30 meters) placed 12th.

The women's track team is back in action Saturday, April 1, at the Maryland Invitational in College Park, Md.
