Rookie Wrestlers Earn All-America Status at Junior Nationals

Fargo, N.D. – Incoming wrestling freshmen Jack Kitchen and Vincent Cina earned All-America status earlier this week by finishing in the top-six in their respective weight classes in the Greco-Roman division of the 2004 ASICS/Vaughan Junior National Championships held in Fargo, North Dakota.

Kitchen, a native of Plano, Texas, finished third in 171 lbs. by defeating Billy Naegle, 11-0, just 48 seconds into the match on a technical fall. This is the second Greco-Roman Junior National All-American honor for Kitchen.

Cina, a native of Ellicot City, Md., took sixth place at 119 lbs. after falling to Zack Bigboy, 11-3, in the medal match. A four-time All-America at River Hill, Cina concluded his career with two county and regional titles and was state runner-up in 2004.

Both Kitchen and Cina, along with fellow members of the class of 2008 ,will be competing in the freestyle events of the Junior National Championships, July 28-30.
