Roth Adds on to Postseason Awards

PHILADELPHIA – Freshman Todd Roth earned yet another postseason honor on Monday, being named to the inaugural Ping! Baseball All Freshman Team. Roth was one of 12 pitchers who made the second-team.

This honor is another in a long list of postseason awards for the freshman, who had already earned Ivy League Rookie of the Year and First-Team honors as well as Big 5 Co-Pitcher of the Year, Rookie of the Year and All-Big 5 recognition. Last Wednesday, he was named to the Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American Team.

The right-hander finished the season witha 6-2 record, 1.98 ERA and 62 strikeouts in 68 1/3 innings pitched. Roth led the Ivy League in ERA, opponents’ batting average and strikeouts. He tossed seven consecutive complete games from March 18 to May 5.
