PHILADELPHIA Penn baseball player Todd Roth was named Ivy League Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday. This is the third time this year Roth has earned the honor. He also garnered rookie of the week accolades earlier this season.
Roth allowed just one run in nine innings pitched last week. In a relief appearance last Wednesday at Rider, he allowed one hit in two innings of work, while fanning three.
Roth pitched his sixth consecutive complete game in Saturday’s 11-1 win over Princeton. He allowed nine base runners all game, and just two reached third base. Roth scattered seven hits, while not walking a single batter for the second-straight start to improve to 6-1 on the season.
