PHILADELPHIA – Former University of Pennsylvania sprint football player Raiam Santos was recently named to the final roster for Team Brazil that will play in the upcoming IFAF World Championships this July 8-18 in Canton, Ohio.
Santos was named to the team as the kicker and punter, a position that he played while on Penn’s sprint football team.
A 2010 Wharton graduate, Santos was named Academic All-Ivy as a senior, and earned All-CSFL honors all four years while playing for the Quakers. He was named First-team All-CSFL kicker twice, and was a First-team All-CSFL punter three times. He also earned Second-team All-CSFL as a kicker once, and was named Honorable mention once.
Santos converted 12 field goals during his time at Penn, and routinely pinned opponents inside the 20-yard line while punting for the Quakers.
