PHILADELPHIA -- With the University of Pennsylvania women’s basketball season set to open on Nov. 7th against Lehigh, seniors Kelly Scott, Carrie Biemer and Anca Popovici and junior Sarah Bucar were named the 2008-09 Quaker team captains.
This will be the second year as captain for seniors Scott and Popovici. Scott averaged nine points and one assist per game while pulling down 39 rebounds last year.
