PHILADELPHIA - Senior Elizabeth Semmens was named the Ivy League Player of the Week for her play last weekend, the conference announced today.
In matches versus Dartmouth and Harvard, Semmens hit .348 with 43 kills (5.38) and 30 digs (3.75) in leading Penn to two victories. Against Dartmouth, she hit .317 with 17 kills and 16 digs and followed it up by setting career-highs in both attack percentage (.373) and kills (26), while adding 14 digs in a 3-1 win over Harvard. The 26 kills is the fourth highest single game total in school history. Semmens leads the team with 3.69 kills per set this season.
The Quakers return to action on Friday when they host Cornell at 7 p.m.
