Seven From Softball Earn Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete Honors

PHILADELPHIA – Seven members of the 2015 University of Pennsylvania softball team earned Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Thursday.

Former Quaker, Lauren Li, along with senior Lainey Dorris, senior Sydney Kranzmann, senior Cedar Slovacek, junior Mason Spichiger, junior Molly Oretsky and sophomore Jess England were amongst the 1,240 Division I players who earned Easton/NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors.

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across seven membership divisions. NCAA Division I, with 1,240 honorees, had the most student-athletes with a 3.5 grade-point average or higher.
