PHILADELPHIA - Jake Silvermanhas been named Assistant Athletic Director for Football Operations as announced by the University of Pennsylvania's Division of Recreation and Intercollegiate Athletics.
Silverman, who is entering his eighth season with the Penn Football program in 2015, oversees the daily operations of the administrative side of the football program. His duties are many, but primarily he oversees the administrative side of the football program which includes: pre-season planning; road-game logistics; recruiting administration and organization; serving as the liaison with various departments within athletics; managing all official visits; and coordinating the annual end-of-season banquet and alumni golf outing. He also sits on the Football Alumni Sports Board, and serves as the Ray Priore Football Camps coordinator as well as performing other special projects and assignments from the head coach.
Among his duties as the operations assistant in 2008, Silverman oversaw the majority of the team’s recruiting efforts, including the activities surrounding official and unofficial visits, organizing the team’s recruiting communications, and maintaining the program’s prospect database.
Silverman graduated from Syracuse University in 2008 where he served as the football operations intern and as a Student Assistant Coach for thedefensive line. He also worked as an intern at the Philadelphia Eagles training camp in the summer of 2005 and 2007 and as a marketing intern for Comcast SportsNet in the summer of 2004.
Silverman earned his Master's degree from Penn in 2012. He and his wife, Maura, reside in Philadelphia.
