Simon Kirke to Appear at Halftime of the Feb. 10 Men's Basketball Game

Simon Kirke, the legendary drummer for Bad Company and Free, will be making a special appearance at the Penn Men’s Basketball vs. Harvard game on Saturday, February 10th.

Kirke, along with the University of Pennsylvania Band, will entertain the crowd at halftime with a medley of Bad Company songs, including “All Right Now!” Kirke will also be available to sign autographs of his new Drumming DVD: “Lessons from a Legend.” The DVD provides you with a private lesson from Kirke and invites you to play along with him as he teaches you to play classic rock hits from Bad Company and Free.

The event is presented by University of Pennsylvania Department of Athletics and Rockstarz, Inc.

While busy recording and touring Kirke and his partner have formed Rockstarz, Inc. and its Lessons from a Legend catalogue of DVD’s in which legendary musicians teach viewers how to play the recordings that made them famous, Available at music stores, online and at the game.

February 10th is Alumni Night at The Palestra, and the Quakers take on Harvard, a game that always has Ivy League title implications.
