Snow Storm Forces Men's Squash to Wait Until Thursday for Princeton.

PHILADELPHIA - Men’s Squash will head to New Jersey on Thursday night, in what will be the Quakers last conference road game of the season. Awaiting Penn will be the nation’s third ranked team, who is currently 2-0 in Ivy play and 5-0 Overall. Princeton is also just a half game out of the Ivy League lead. The Quakers (4-4 Overall, 1-2 Ivy) are sitting in fifth place overall in the Ivy League standings.

Penn comes into this contest looking to bounce back from a 9-0 loss at the hands of the 12-time defending national champions Trinity. Prior to that match, the Quakers had been riding a four match winning streak. Against Trinity, the Quakers best chance for a victory came from freshman Daniel Judd, who forced a decisive fifth game, but would fall just short in his attempt. Fellow freshman, Justin Ang and John Dudzik would also win one game against Trinity, but would then fall in four games to the visitors.

Princeton will be entering its first competition of the new semester as the Tigers return to the courts for the first time since December 5. Princeton left off play winning its last two competitions in 9-0 routes over Williams and Middlebury. In the five Tiger victories on the season, the closest match has been a 6-3 victory over Cornell.

Princeton and Penn have four common opponents on the year. Princeton has defeated all four as they were victorious over Williams, Brown, Franklin & Marshall, and Cornell. The Quakers defeated Williams and Brown, but they dropped the matches versus Cornell and Franklin & Marshall. When these two teams met a year ago, Princeton, the eventual second place finisher in the Ivy League, defeated Penn 9-0.

17 Nationally ranked players will be represented by these two schools on Wednesday night in the men’s side. This list includes the nation’s number one player in Princeton’s Todd Harrity, who made it to the national championship match as a freshman a year ago. The men’s match will begin Thursday at 5 p.m.
