PHILADELPHIA – The Ivy League Championship Series will shift to Philadelphia for the first time ever this weekend. Since the 2007 season when the Ivy League instituted division play, the ILCS has been hosted by just three teams – Harvard three times, Cornell twice, and Princeton once. This will also be the first time since 2010 that a team other than the Crimson will host.
Play will begin on Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader between the host Penn and visiting Dartmouth, scheduled for a 1 p.m. start. Then, if needed, play will resume for Game 3 on Sunday, also at 1 p.m. The last two ILCS’ were completed in just one day of play.
The Quakers have earned the right to host by winning their second-straight South Division title, and third in program history. Penn’s 16-4 mark in the Ivies tops last season’s 15-5 record for the best in program history.
All three games will have live stats and live streaming available at IvyLeagueSports.com. Admission is free all weekend as well.
