Softball to Play Texas A&M in NCAA Regional on ESPN2

PHILADELPHIA – For the first time in program history, the University of Pennsylvania softball team will begin its quest for the Women’s College World Series. The Quakers earned the automatic berth to the NCAAs after winning the Ivy League Championship Series in three games over Dartmouth two weekends ago. Penn will begin its road to the WCWS in College Station, Texas against No. 16 Texas A&M on Friday afternoon. The game will be televised on national television on ESPN2 at 6 p.m. ET.

The NCAA regional round consists of 16 locations with the top 16 teams in the country hosting a four-team, double elimination tournament with the winner advancing to Super Regionals. The other two teams playing in College Station this weekend will be Arizona and Baylor.
