PHILADELPHIA - With the fall season fast approaching, the University of Pennsylvania sprint football team has announced its 2016 schedule. The Quakers will play seven games, three at home, during the upcoming season, starting with a trip to Mansfield on September 17.
Penn will open its home slate the following week when it welcomes defending Collegiate Sprint Football League (CSFL) Champion,Army to Franklin Field on September 23 at 7 p.m.
After a Saturday afternoon game at Franklin Pierce on October 1, the Quakers will return home to face Navy on Friday, October 7.
Following a bye week, the Red and Blue will take on last season's newcomers Chestnut Hill with the location and time to be determined.
Friday, October 28 will be Senior Night at Franklin Field when the Quakers host Cornell in a showdown of Ivy League rivals.
Penn will close out the season with a trip to Post on Saturday, November 5 for an afternoon contest with the Eagles, beginning at 1 p.m.
The Quakers were 5-2 in 2015 and return CSFL Most Valuable Player, quarterback Mike McCurdy for the 2016 season.
