In conjunction with the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, the Penn Sports Network will produce weekly installments of its "Student-Athlete Spotlight" series throughout the remainder of the 2008-2009 academic year. Each episode will provide a back story on a member of one of Penn Athletics' 33 varsity programs.
This week, Greg Murray is profiled. The senior goalkeeper, a West Chester East product, earned Suburban League MVP honors while in high school, and has spent the past three seasons preparing himself for the starting role he currently fills for the men's lacrosse program. With family ties to the sport stretching across three generations, Murray will attempt to help the Quakers climb above the .500 mark in a duel with Denver at Franklin Field on Friday afternoon at 3:00 PM.Be sure to check back regularly with the new PennAthletics.com and the site's media player (located on the right side of the webpage) for continuing coverage of the university's teams.
