Penn Athletics on Twitter
PHILADELPHIA - Penn Football Media Day on August 29 will allow the local and national media its first glimpse of the 2011 edition of the Red and Blue as the Quakers begin their defense of back-to-back Ivy League championships. For the first time, Penn fans will have the chance to get involved in the action at Media Day.
Leading up to the media event on the 29th, fans can use Twitter to submit any questions they have for George A. Munger Head Coach of Football Al Bagnoli and senior tri-captain Erik Rask. The Penn Sports Network (PSN) will ask selected questions in one-on-one interviews at Media Day and will air Bagnoli and Rask's answers later that day.
In order to have your question added to the potential group, follow Penn Athletics on Twitter and submit your question by adding @PennAthletics to your message. The Athletic Communications staff will compile all of the submitted questions and choose a group to ask Coach Bagnoli and Rask, saving questions that are not asked this time for later Q&As during the season.
Have your question submitted by Friday, Aug. 26 and then check back to PennAthletics.com on the afternoon of Aug. 29 to see if Coach Bagnoli or Erik Rask answered your question.
The Quakers enter 2011 with an Ivy League winning streak of 15 games - the longest active FCS conference winning streak in the nation. Rask, chosen as a tri-captain by his teammates, was named first-team All-Ivy in 2010 with a team-high 65 tackles. A Newport Beach, Calif. native and Wharton student, Rask has played in all 20 games over the past two seasons with 107 career tackles and 4.5 career sacks.
Al Bagnoli enters his 20th season at the helm of the Quakers as the second-winningest active head coach in NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, the winningest coach in Ivy League and Penn history and one of just six FCS coaches all-time to win 200 games. With the back-to-back titles for the Red and Blue in 2009 and 2010, Bagnoli repeated as Ancient Eight champion for the third time in his tenure at Penn.
