PHILADELPHIA - The Penn men's swimming team plays host for the second consecutive weekend when Dartmouth and Yale come to Sheerr pool on Saturday morning.
The teams begin diving at 10 a.m. and the swimming will commence soon after. For the Red and Blue it will be a chance to improve on the steady progress they made over the past two weeks. The Quakers beat Brown 143-137 last Tuesday and followed it up last Saturday with victories in six events in a loss to Harvard.
Leading the charge for the Quakers will be sophomore Brendan McHugh, who took three first place finishes, in the 200 medley relay, and the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke against the Crimson. Sophomore Brett Gomes also earned a victory, taking first in the 50 free.
The Yale men come in with a 0-2 mark in the Ivy League, having lost to both Columbia and Cornell this year. Despite the absence of a League victory, the Eli's have beaten Penn each of the past two years and four of the last five.
Dartmouth meanwhile comes into the meet seeking its first victory in Ivy play as well. The Big Green are 0-3, with losses to Brown, Cornell and Harvard, however they only lost to Boston University last weekend by 19 points.
