The LINE for men's basketball season tickets has started!

The LINE for men's basketball season tickets has started! Go to the Franklin Field Ticket Office at 235 S. 33rd Street on Wednesday, Oct. 13 or Thursday, Oct. 14 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. to get your wristbands to mark your place in line for men's basketball student season tickets. Remember you must bring your entire group (a maximum of four -4- students w/ valid PennCards) to The LINE in order to get your wristbands.

One of the greatest traditions of Penn Basketball is The LINE for student season tickets. Year after year, students show their enthusiasm and their stamina by camping out for the best seats!

TIMELINE:

Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004 and Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004

10 a.m. – 5 p.m. - Wristband distribution will continue at the Penn Athletic Ticket Office. Group (maximum of 4) or individual registrationwill take place. All members of the group must present their valid PennCards at the time of registration.

Friday, October 15, 2004

6 p.m. - All team members in The LINE at all times in The Palestra.

7 p.m. – Penn volleyball vs. Harvard

9:30 p.m. – Food will be served

10 p.m. – Comcast SportsNet Casting Call

11 p.m. – Midnight Madness

Saturday, October 16, 2004

Pregame – Homecoming Reception and MTV Pregame Tailgate

1 p.m. – Penn football vs. Columbia

4 p.m. – Penn volleyball vs. Dartmouth

7 p.m. - 8 p.m. - Ticket distribution and dismissal!

THE RULES: With the best interest of our most dedicated fans in mind, the following policies will be enforced. We want this to be a positive experience and hope we can count on your full cooperation.

WORKING IN TEAMS: Students may work in teams (maximum of four individuals) to secure positions in The LINE. The entire team must check in together, presenting valid PennCards for identification.

RANDOM CHECKS: Random line checks will be made to ensure attendance in The LINE. If every team member is not in line, the entire team will sacrifice its position in line.

SUPPLIES: With recent renovations to The Palestra, we ask that students refrain from bringing furniture or other large items to The LINE. Our space and power supplies are limited. We encourage students to bring sleeping bags and pillows. Please wear comfortable clothes and non-marking sneakers. If you plan on taking part in the 3-on-3 basketball tournament sponsored by the Red & Blue Crew you should bring sneakers, shorts and a t-shirt.

PERKS: Only students that are in The LINE beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, October 15 and purchase season tickets will be entitled to purchase tickets to limited ticket away games (i.e. Princeton, NCAAs, etc.) when available.

PURCHASE INFO: Student must have a valid PennCard at the time of purchase. Cash, check, MasterCard and Visa are acceptable forms of payment. Each student is entitled to purchase one (1) season ticket.

TICKET INFO: Chairback Student Season Ticket - $105; Reserved Student Season Ticket - $70; Big 5 Basketball Doubleheader - $8 (Penn vs. La Salle followed by Temple vs. Villanova)

PENN POLICIES: All University policies relating to student conduct will apply and be strictly enforced. No drugs or alcohol will be permitted in line, and those who are visibly under the influence of banned substances will not be permitted in line. Students who do not adhere to these policies will be removed from The LINE.

BASIC SAFETY: For your safety, security guards will monitor the area at all times and the LINE will be housed inside The Palestra. Your safety is our primary concern, so please do not hesitate to call for assistance if you feel it is necessary. Emergency numbers are as follows:

Emergency On-campus Assistance - 511 (fire, police or medical)

Emergency Philadelphia Assistance - 911 (fire, police or medical)
