New in 2005 will be the opportunity for reserve seating on the north side of Franklin Field for Thursday and Friday. These seats will cost $18 for each day and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis based on availability.
Tickets for the 2005 Penn Relays will go on sale to the general public on March 28th, one month prior to the start of the event. On March 28 Relays will be able to purchase tickets by phone or in person at the Weightman Hall Ticket Office at Franklin Field. Ticket purchasers from 2004 will have the first opportunity to renew their same seats from a year ago. Look for renewal information online and in the mail in early February. The deadline to renew your 2004 seats for the 2005 Penn Relays is March 4.
In the summer of 2004 Franklin Field received a makeover that will benefit athletes and spectators alike. A new state-of-the-art Sprinturf playing surface and new jump runways were installed to improve competition safety and the look of the venerable stadium. In addition, a 77-ft. matrix scoreboard with video board and replay capabilities will keep fans well informed on the west end of the stadium.
