College Park, Md. - Both the men's and women's tracks teams at the University of Pennsylvania were suppose to compete in the Terrapin Invitational today, buta severe thunderstorm and heavy rain forced the cancellation ofthe track and field meet after the completion of just five events on Saturday.
The women's team competed in just one of those events, the 4x100m relay. The Quakers finished seventh overall and second in their heat with at time of 48.60.
The event, which had drawn 40 teams from around the northeast, will not be made up.
Penn returns to action on April 9 on Franklin Field at the Penn Invitational.
