The meet will begin with the men's hammer at noon and the women's javelin at 12:30 p.m. The first track event - the 4x100-meter relay - is set to start at 1:30 p.m. The season-opening meet will conclude with the men's 5,000 meters at 6:45 p.m. A complete schedule can be found here.

The Philadelphia College Classic expands on the Penn's traditional outdoor opener at Franklin Field, the Big 5 Invitational. In addition to all the Big 5 schools, several other local colleges will be compete at the meet this year.

Last year, in the Big 5 Invitational to open the 2012 season, the Penn men boasted six individual champions over their city rivals and the women won six city crowns. Returning winners include Davielle Brown in the pole vault, Jake Brenza in the shot put, Jeff Sedon in the long jump, Maalik Reynolds in the high jump, Mason Smith in the 100 meters and Tom Timmins in the 400-meter hurdles.

This will mark the only home meet of the year for the Quakers outside of the world's oldest and largest relay carnival. The 119th edition of the Penn Relays is set for April 25-27 at Franklin Field. Last year, the three-day attendance totaled 117,346. Get your tickets for the 2013 Penn Relays here.
