Randall Island, N.Y. – Two new school records were established on Saturday evening at the 2005 NCAA East Regional Championships hosted by Manhattan College. Senior Claire Duncan and the 4x400m relay teams broke their own school records en route to top-10 finishes at the Regional qualifier.10 Claire Duncan.

After nearly a two hour delay in the meet due to inclement weather, Duncan competed in the 3,000m steeplechase and crossed the finish line with a personal best of 10:29.33 and in 10th place. Duncan’s time is almost 10 seconds faster than her previous best.

The quartet of freshman Jesse Carlin, freshman Shaunee Morgan, junior Dana McCurdy and senior Izu Emeagwali have been impressive in the 4x400m relay all season long. The foursome did not disappoint on Saturday, coming up with an eighth-place finish in a new school record of 3:39.09.

The Red and Blue finishes in 36th places with two points.
