Philadelphia, Pa. The University of Pennsylvania volleyball team swept Columbia, 3-0, this afternoon on Senior Day. Junior Cara Thomason led the way for the Quakers with 17 kills.
The Quakers (14-9, 6-5 Ivy League) defeated the Lions (3-21, 1-11 Ivy League) 30-17, 30-22 and 30-24. In addition to her 17 kills, Thomason had 11 digs in the victory. Senior Lynzy Caton notched six kills and 1.5 total blocks in the victory while freshman setter Linda Zhang had five kills, three service aces and 33 assists.
Sophomore Nikki Learned led the way for Columbia with 12 kills.
The Quakers are next in action onFriday, Nov.12,when they will play at Dartmouthin Hanover, N.H. at 7 p.m.
