The Red & Blue Crew is the official student section of Penn Men's Basketball and has been a major factor in the Quakers continued success in the Ivy League. In the past 14 years, Penn has won the Ivy League Championship 9 times, and has held the title for the past two years. This year as well looks to bevery promising as Penn has a 9-6 record and is 2-0 in the Ivy League.
It is no secret that a huge factor in making theRed& Blue Crew one of the top student sectionsin the nation for student spiritis the historic Palestra, the home court of the Penn Quakers. Some say the Palestra “is a place with magic in the air.” Mark Zoller, Senior Quaker Forward, remembers, “Being awed by the amazing atmosphere.” The Palestra is certainly this and more. Featuring the tenacious intracity rivalry between the Big 5 Philadelphia schools, Penn, Temple, Villanova, St. Joe’s, and La Salle, the Palestra offers nail-biting finishes to the very end.
