This Friday, May 22nd, Penn Women's Lacrosse will participate in its third straight Final Four, as the 4-seed Quakers will meet top-seed Northwestern in a national semi-final contest at Towson University's Johnny Unitas Stadium.
At the same site a year ago, these two clubs also faced one another in the 2008 championship game. Never before in program history had the Red and Blue reached the title tilt, where the Wildcats waited, seeking their fourth consecutive crown.
In a pairing of the tournament's top two teams, #2 Penn provided a resilient effort against # 1 Northwestern, eager to avenge a regular season loss to the Quakers that stopped a string of 36 straight victories. The highlights from this match-up are featured in the latest installment of 'Red and Blue Rewind,' a Penn Sports Network video-on-demand series profiling notable performances in the history of Penn Athletics.
