A product of The Episcopal Academy in nearby Newtown Square, PA, Allen starred at Penn from 1991-1995. He finished his career as Penn's all-time leader in assists (504) and steals (106). He was also recognized as the Ivy League Player of the Year twice, in 1992-93 and 1993-94.
After guiding the Red and Blue to three consecutive unbeaten Ancient Eight campaigns (42 straight wins), Allen was a second-round draft pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves in 1995. He spent two seasons in the NBA with Minnesota, Indiana, and Denver. He continues to play professionally in Italy.
