Welcome, Penn fans, to the new PennAthletics.com, delivering the most in-depth, comprehensive multimedia Quakers coverage.
In re-configuring the website over the course of the spring and summer, we wanted to develop a platform that enables you to follow your favorite Red & Blue programs in both a highly interactive and streamlined fashion.
Just below the header, you will see a log-in box for the a new feature we are calling the Penn Passport. Your Penn Passport will consolidate any previous accounts you may have had at Penn Athletics (tickets, PSN streaming, online store, auctions, etc.) into one universal login so you can manage virtually everything you do at PennAthletics.com in one convenient location. Your Penn Passport also means you will get the Red & Blue News email newsletter every week in your inbox. To create your Penn Passport, simply click here or sign up at the login screen on the homepage.
On the left side of the home page, you willl find articles detailing the latest news regarding Penn’s 33 varsity teams. As it has in the past, PennAthletics.com will continue to provide detailed coverage of its programs including event previews and game recaps, introductions to incoming classes, and coaching notes.
The new design will also feature a specialized text box that sorts releases by the “Headlines,” “Results,” “Upcoming Events,” “Promotions,” and “Blogs.” An exciting addition to PennAthletics.com, the “Blogs” section will contain regularly updated blogs from coaches, student-athletes, and staff acting as correspondents.
The right side of the home page is now devoted to showcasing exclusive Penn Sports Network video and audio content, accessible via a multimedia player created specifically for PennAthletics.com. The “Live Events” tab lists contests scheduled to stream live -- in either video or audio format -- over the site. PSN will once again offer subscription-based webcasts of Penn Field Hockey, Football, Sprint Football, Volleyball, Men’s Basketball, Women’s Basketball, Wrestling, Men’s Lacrosse, and Women’s Lacrosse. Fans can sign up for either the audio and video “complete” package or the audio only “lite” package. Click here to subcribe now.
In the “On-Demand” section, you can browse episodes from various PSN video productions, such as the “All-Access” program that takes you behind the scenes of different Quaker clubs through coach and student-athlete interviews.
The “Podcasts” tab links fans directly to the free, subscription-based iTunes audio feed profiling Penn Men’s Basketball, which resumes in October. Coming in September, a similar podcast will focus on Penn Football.
Like the previous version of PennAthletics.com, the new one will give Quaker fans the chance to participate in live chats, and discuss the latest status of several Penn Athletics programs, including Football and Men’s Basketball. These sessions will be held each Tuesday, beginning Sept. 23.
We hope you enjoy the new PennAthletics.com, and hope too see you back on the site often.
