WGolf Finishes Fourth at Rain-Shortened Georgetown Invitational

Leesburg, Va. - The Penn women's golf team traveled to Virginia to play in the 2005 Georgetown Invitational on April 2-3 and could only play one day of the tournament as rained wiped out most of the East Coast events on Saturday.

The Quakers wasted no time in getting on the course the following day and shot a 345 to finish fourth out of 15 participating schools at the annual Invite. Meg Bender was Penn's top finisher as she shot an 80 and placed tied for second. Melissa Aylor tied for sixth place with an 81.

The Red and Blue will continue their spring season by hosting the Penn Challenge at the Philadelphia Cricket Club on April 9.
