PHILADELPHIA - For the second time in as many weeks, the University of Pennsylvania women's golf team will be able to measure itself against the other Ivy programs as the Quakers join all of them at the Yale Fall Intercollegiate.
In all, 17 teams will participate in the 54-hole tournament that runs Friday through Sunday at The Course at Yale in New Haven, Conn. Widely recognized as one of the best collegiate courses in the country, The Course at Yale will play at par-71 and measure 6,016 yards for this event.
All seven Ivy programs (Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, Harvard, Penn, Princeton, Yale) are in the field along with Boston College, Boston University, Cincinnati, Fairleigh Dickinson, Seton Hall, Stirling, Towson, Tulsa, South Alabama, South Florida, and Xavier.
Penn's lineup will again be anchored by the senior trio of Isabella Rahm, Erin Lo and Sophia Chen. They will be joined in the lineup by freshman Christina Park -- who was tied for second overall last weekend at Princeton -- and junior Michelle Yom. Another junior, Tiffany Yau, is in the field playing as an individual.
"We are looking forward to the event at Yale this weekend," said head coach Mark Anderson. "We had a strong finish here last year in a very strong field. This fall we have had some very strong individual performances, but haven't been as strong as we need to be with our third and fourth scores. If we can post some solid rounds in those spots we will have a solid performance this week."
