Women's Golf is Third After Day One at Ivy Championship

ORLANDO, Fla. – The University of Pennsylvania women’s golf team had a solid first day at the Ivy League Championship on Friday, and is in third place after 18 holes at the par-72 Orange Tree Golf Club.

Penn shot 19-over-par 307 as a team on Friday, which has the Quakers behind team leader Princeton (296) and Harvard (302). Brown is fourth in the seven-team field, at 313.

Individually, senior Erin Lo was Penn’s low scorer on Friday with a 3-over-par 75 which has her tied for fifth in the field of 35 golfers. Senior Isabella Rahm and freshman Christina Park both shot 77 on Friday and are tied at 11th, while Allison Wong also scored for the Quakers with a first-round 78. She is tied for 15th. Junior Tiffany Yau rounded out Penn’s lineup with a first-round 83 and is tied for 23rd.

Princeton’s Amber Wang was the only player to shoot under par on Friday, her 2-under-par 70 has her two shots ahead of Harvard’s Michelle Xie.

The Championship will continue with its second round tomorrow and conclude with a third and final round on Sunday.
