PHILADELPHIA - After a long break from tournament play, the University of Pennsylvania women's golf team gets back to action this weekend at the Princeton Invitational. The 54-hole event will take place on Springdale Golf Club next to the Princeton campus. Springdale will play at par 72 and 6,100 yards for the tournament.
The tournament will feature two rounds on Saturday and a final round on Sunday. The teams will have an 8 a.m. start on Saturday and an 8:30 a.m. start on Sunday.
Penn is joined in the 11-team field by the host Tigers as well as fellow Ivies Brown, Columbia, Dartmouth, defending champion Harvard and Yale. The field also includes Delaware, Georgetown, Lehigh, and Rollins College.
Penn's lineup will be anchored by the seniors Isabella Rahm, Erin Lo and Sophia Chen. They will be joined by the sophomore Janet Zhang and the freshman Christina Park. Another freshman, Yubin Huh, will be in the field playing as an individual.
"We are looking forward to our second tournament of the season and facing all of the teams in the Ivy League," said Head Coach Mark Anderson. "The team has been working hard on being more consistent with some of their shots, and that should help us put up more solid rounds for the tournament. The weather is going to be a challenge, and we will certainly face that with a positive attitude. It will be a great weekend regardless of the weather, as we will get to see where we stack up with our Ivy competition."
