Women's Golf Takes Sixth at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. - The University of Pennsylvania women's golf team finished sixth out of 12 teams at the Princeton Invitational, a 54-hole event that took place Saturday and Sunday at the par-72 Springdale Golf Club.

Penn shot 906 over the three rounds. Columbia won the team title, carding 891 for the weekend, while Georgetown was second at 893. Among the other Ivy teams in the field, Yale was third (897); Dartmouth was fourth (901); host Princeton was fifth (902); Harvard was ninth (923); and Brown tied for 10th (941).

Individually, freshman Christina Park had a spectacular weekend. She shot 74-73-73 to finish at 4-over-par 220 and tied for second in a field of 66 golfers. Senior Isabella Rahm had a superb Saturday, including the team's low round for the weekend (71) on Saturday afternoon, en route to a 221 and t-5th finish.

Erin Lo finished 37th overall after shooting 82-73-77--232 for the weekend, while Sophia Chen carded 78-79-79--236 and tied for 46th. Janet Zhang (79-84-86--249) finished 60th.

Freshman Yubin Huh competed in the field as an individual and shot 82-83-85--250 to finish 61st.

Harvard's Michelle Xie was the individual champion, as she shot a 2-under-par 214 for the weekend to finish two strokes up on Park and two other golfers.

Penn returns to action next weekend, heading to The Course at Yale to participate in the Yale Fall Intercollegiate.
