Women Overtaken by Columbia in Final Fencing Round

NEW YORK, N.Y. – After suffering a loss to No. 4 Harvard on the first day of the 2015 Ivy League Fencing Round Robins, the University of Pennsylvania women’s fencing team began day two with a win over No. 3 Princeton and remained in the hunt for a share of the crown. If the Quakers could defeat host Columbia in the seventh and final round, the two teams would have finished with a tied record and shared the title. However, the No. 2 Lions overtook the Red and Blue and won the crown outright and snapped Princeton’s five-year run as the champions in the process.
