Philadelphia The quartet of Jesse Carlin, Shaunee Morgan, Dana McCurdy and Izu Emeagwali were named ECAC Women’s Track Athletes of the Week (Week ending April 10) for their record-breaking run in the 4x400m relay on April 9 at the Penn Invitational.
The Quakers time of 3:39.82 was 4.12 seconds faster than the Penn record set in 1998. The Red and Blue’s time also qualifies the relay for the 2005 ECAC Championships and the 2005 NCAA Regional meet inRandall Island, N.Y.
The relay team was also named Penn Student-Athletes of the Week for their record-breaking efforts.
The Quakers host Princeton and Yale on April 16 at Franklin Field. The Meet is slated to start at 2:30 p.m.
