PHILADELPHIA --The invitation to the Big Dance has been extended, all that is left is to determine the University of Pennsylvania's first round opponent for the 2016 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament.
The NCAA Women's Basketball Selection Special presented by Capital One will broadcast live on ESPN and WatchESPN on March 14 at 7 p.m. and the Penn Athletics community will gather in The Palestra to celebrate the 2016 Ivy League champions and learn where the Quakers will head at the Selection Special Watch Party.
Doors open to The Palestra at 6:15 p.m. and fans can earn Penn Rewards (500 Points!) and enjoy free pizza and soft drinks/water.
Fans can take their picture with the Ivy League trophy and their favorite Penn player, compete in Pop-A-Shot contests, create posters wishing the Quakers good luck in the NCAA Tournament, and more as the University celebrates its second trip to the NCAA Tournament in three seasons.
In addition, the Watch Party will be streamed live on the Ivy League Digital Network, featuring highlights from the 2015-16 season and interviews with CoachMike McLaughlin,Sydney Stipanovich,Michelle Nwokedi,Kasey Chambersand more!
Once the destination is revealed, Penn fans can also purchase tickets to see the Quakers in action via the Penn Athletics Box Office at The Palestra.
