NEWARK, Del.--The Penn women's cross country team finished second at the Delaware Invite, Saturday in Newark, Del. The Quakers scored 41 points at the White Clay Creek State Park course and were led by senior tri-captain Stacy Kim and last week's top finisher, Leah Brogan.
Stacy Kim clockedthe Red and Blue's best time of the day at 22:41 for third place. Brogan was hot on her heels at 22:44 for fourth place. Kinjal Parikh was out for an even 23:00 on the 6K course and finished in ninth place. Claire Kim (23:18) finished in 11th-place and Kimberly Shooshan rounded out Penn's scorers in 16th-place and a time of 23:50.
Also in the race for Penn, Carol Xu (24:16), Jamie Liberti (24:21), Anna Aagenes (24:30), Charlotte Lawson (25:08), Kellee Hand (25:14), Stephanie Hayden (25:18), Erin Comerford (25:34), Katherine Hallock (26:10) and Shayleigh Dickson (26:24).
Villanova won the race with 21 points and the top two individual finishes.
The Quakers head to the Paul Short Invite hosted by Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa., Sept. 29.
