Women's Cross Country Set for NCAA Regional

PHILADELPHIA--Lehigh will host the 2007 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Saturday morning on the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course in Bethlehem, Pa.Penn will begin the6K race at 12:15 p.m.

Two weeks ago, Penn took fourth at Heptagonals and were led by Stacy Kim with a 10th-place overall finish, good for second team All-Ivy honors.

Kim also earned All-Ivy honors last season with a sixth-place finish. She matched that sixth-place finish at the 2006 NCAA Regional and qualified for the NCAA Championship race. At Regioanls, she led last year's squad to a seventh-place finish.

The top two teams at each regional meet automatically qualify for the championship meet. Thirteen addition at-large teams will be selected by the track and field subcommittee on November 11. The first four individuals not on a qualifying team automatically advance to the finals. Two additional qualifiers will be selected at-large based on the highest non-qualifying finish in the regional championship meets.

The Division I NCAA Championship will be at Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Ind.on Nov. 19.
