New York City Freshman Claire Kim led the University of Pennsylvania women’s cross country to a fourth-place finish at the Fordham Invitational at Van Courtland Park on Saturday morning.
The rookie crossed the finish line in 19:09.83 in her Penn debut for the ninth spot. The trio of senior Anna Marie Allander, and sophomores Jen Blank and Jackie Dunn finished, 21st, 22nd and 23rd, respectively. Freshman Stacey Kim and sophomore Tina Morrison crossed the finish line in 31st and 32nd place, while sophomore Jill Connell rounded out the Quaker scoring in 42nd place.
Mary Cullen and Deidre Byrne finished first and second to lead Providence College to a first-place showing. Providence finished with 35 points, followed by Yale (51), Columbia (56) and Penn (104).
The Red and Blue return to action next weekend, Sept. 18 at the Delaware Invitational. The Quakers dominated at the Delaware Invitational last season, taking home first place.
