Bronx, N.Y. - The Penn women's cross country team put up a repeat performance on Saturday by winning the Fordham Fiasco for the second straight year.

In a race which often serves as a warm-up for the season, sophomore Leslie Kovach led a young Quakers squad to victory with her second place finish. The sophomore finished in 18:26 to pace the Red and Blue. Fellow classmate Megan Powell was the second Penn runner to finish as she took fifth overall with a time of 18:47.

Freshman Catherine Phillips made an impression in her first race, taking seventh with a time of 18:54. Junior Veronica Salcido was the fourth Quaker to cross the line, taking 15th. Sophomore Kimberly Condino was the final Red and Blue runner to earn points as she finished just behind Salcido in 16th.

The Quakers return to action next weekend when they travel back to Van Cortlandt Park for the Iona Meet of Champions.
