Madison, N.J. - The Quakers had three fencers unofficially qualify for the 2011 NCAA Championships with their performances at the Mid-Atlantic Regional held Saturday at Drew University.

Junior Dominika Franciszkowicz, sophomore Amrit Bhinder and freshman Gabby Foor all qualified for the NCAA Championships by finishing in the top six in their respective weapon. Franciszkowicz will be making her third straight trip after finishing fifth overall in sabre.

"It feels great to make it back to the NCAA Championships," she said. "It was a good end to the regular season, especially since I've been fighting injuries during the year."

In epee, Penn set the maximum of two fencers to the Championships, as Bhinder finished second overall and Foor was sixth. Both fencers will be making their first trip to NCAA's. Bhinder was recently a second-team All-Ivy selection while Foor finished just out of All-Ivy contention.

National qualifiers will be officially announced on Tuesday and there is an outside chance that one or two Penn fencers have a chance at an at-large selection.
