Penn Women's Golf - Fall Statistics (PDF)
PHILADELPHIA -The Penn women's golf team endured an up-and-down fall campaign to start off 2011-12. The Quakers struggled in their season-opening event, the Golfweek Challenge, which took place in Colorado and featured a number of highly ranked, national-caliber teams.
Penn returned to the region and put up a good showing at the Princeton Invitational, finishing fifth out of 12 squads. That was followed by a 14th-place showing at the 20-team Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, hosted by East Carolina, in early October.
The fall season ended on a definite "up" in mid-October. The Quakers participated in the Harvard Invitational which pitted the seven Ivy League programs against each other in a de facto Ivy League fall championship. Penn emerged victorious, as Isabel Han (t-4th) and Amanda Chin (t-10th) led the way at Boston Golf Club in Hingham, Mass.
Penn women's golf coach Mark Anderson sat down with the Penn Sports Network recently to recap the fall season, talk about the play of Chin the newcomer and how she fit into a pretty set lineup, and he gave us some insight into the team's plans during the offseason.
