Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at Kelly Gutshall

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Penn women's golf team concluded its fall season this weekend at Lehigh's Kelly Gutshall Invitational, and finished fourth out of seven teams.

The event was held on the par-73 Weyhill Course of the Saucon Valley Country Club. The first round was not completed until Sunday morning, with the second round taking place Sunday afternoon.

Penn carded 339-346--685. Harvard won the team title with 315-321--636, easily defeating second-place Towson (337-334--671).

Individually, junior Lisette Vitter was the top Quaker; she shot 75-86--161 and tied for sixth overall. Classmate Catherine Elliott was a consistent 82-83--165 and finished 12th overall, while freshman Tiffany Cheung (86-85--171) was 15th. Elizabeth Pettie (97-92--189/31st) and Michelle Winters (96-96--192/33rd) also competed for the Quakers.

Eunice Kim of Boston College took medalist honors, shooting 79-74--153 to defeated Harvard's duo of Emily Balmert and Mia Kabasakalis by three strokes.
