Women's Golf Finishes Fourth at Princeton

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Penn women's golf team had two solid days en route to a fourth-place finish at the Princeton Invitational, which opened the 2009-10 season this weekend at Springdale Country Club.

The Quakers shot 305-312--617 on the weekend, finishing behind champion Rollins College (305-297--602), second-place Harvard (301-306--607) and third-place Princeton (318-294--612). A total of 12 teams competed in the event.

Individually, Penn was led by senior Meredith Kotowski who placed fifth overall with a 75-75--150 weekend. Classmate Lisette Vitter tied for 16th overall, carding 79-76--155, while sophomore Tiffany Cheung (77-79--156) and freshman Isabel Han (74-82--156) tied for 18th. Senior Catherine Elliott (81-82--163) rounded out Penn's lineup by tying for 40th overall.

Elizabeth Kresock (80-82--162/t-37th) and Liz Pettie (84-86--170/t-51st) competed in the tournament as individuals.
