Beallsville, Md.Penn women’s golf moved up one place after the second day of competition in the Hoya Invitational to finish ninth overall with a total of 1002 over the two days.
Georgetown is hosting the 14-team tournament at The Members Club at Four Streams.
Lisette Vitter led the Quakers, tying for 19th with a 237 overall. Vitter shot an 84 in her first round of Day 2, followed by a 76 and a 77.
Meredith Kotowski and Catherine Elliot tied at 44th to notch Penn’s second best finishes over the two days. Kotowski shot a 254, with an 86, 81, and an 87 on Day 2 of the tournament. Elliot carded an 83, 85 and an 86 to tally 254.
Meg Bender finished in a tie for 50th place with a two-day total of 257, while Shara Venezia-Walerstein tied for 70th with a score of 293.
Princeton won the tournament with a final tally of 918.
Penn will next be in action at the Ivy League Championships April 19th-20th in West Trenton, N.J., where the team will look to improve on last year’s fifth-place finish.
