Women's Golf Finishes Play at ECAC Championships

WILLIAMSBURG - The Penn women's golf team left Virginia with a seventh-place finish at the ECAC Championships. The ladies dropped12 strokes from Saturday's score of 328 to end second round play with a total score of 644.

Meredith Kotowski was low finisher for Penn. She combined scores of 75 and 79 for a +10 total of 154. With that score, Kotowski finished in a seventh place tie, nine strokes off the lead.

Lisette Vitter shot an 80 on Day 1 and followed that up with a 76 on Sunday for a 13th place tie. Catherine Elliot had a tremendous comeback on Sunday, dropping eleven shots from her Day 1 score of 89. Her +7 round of 79 on Sunday elevated her to a 45th place tie.

Meg Bender shot 84-83 for a two-day total of 167 which left her also in the tie for 45th place. Shara Valeria-Walerstein rounded out her weekend with a score of 181, good for a 64th place tie.

The women are off until October 20 when they compete in the Lehigh Invitational.
